We encourage regular and active attendance in a 12 step program, maintain a high level of accountability among our peer network, and provide a supportive environment for men and women who are committed to living healthy, clean and sober. Who We Are
A Way Out Sober Living was founded and built by Derrick Haase, a business owner, entrepreneur, and man in recovery. A Way Out Sober Living is a collection of eight houses with 70 beds located primarily in the Southwest suburban Twin Cities area for men and women. Six of those houses are in Shakopee, MN; one is in Eden Prairie, MN, and one in Waverly, MN. Derrick and his team of house managers are all on the journey of recovery, and are dedicated, and committed, to investing in themselves. We recognize the need for the encouraging support of people around us to learn how to live in sobriety. We know from our personal experiences that having purpose-driven lives and a healthy, safe and caring community are key to building a new life and good character. Our houses are part of our purpose and our way to give back, and be mentors and champions to YOUR recovery. Our goal is your success.

Derrick H. and the residents of our sober houses know that recovery is a lifestyle, and requires work, commitment, and support from a network of like-minded men and women. We work together to help everyone in our community grow and thrive. We believe in a high level of accountability. We are nothing short of a "brother and sisterhood." We truly care for one another; it's built into our culture.
Sober House Requirements
- 1 AA/NA meeting per week
- Random Drug and Alcohol screening
- Must attain 30 hours per week of 1 or combined; programming (ie: IOP), work, school or volunteering
- Must have a sponsor (AA/NA), or Spiritual Advisor
- Curfew 11 PM weekdays, 1 AM weekends (holidays)
- Weekly House meeting
- 90 day commitment
- We are a men and women's sober living program
